Ms. Angel Nettles

Dean of Students

My name is Angel Nettles and I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I have lived in Florida for the past 18 years. I am so excited to join the Galileo team! I graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. I then graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, Massachusetts with my Masters of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I have been in education for 16 years in both Miami-Dade County Schools and Orange County Schools. I taught middle school math for several years. I am certified in Elementary Education K-6 and Middle School Mathematics 5 -9. I have held and assisted in several positions over the course of my career in education. I was the Lead Administrator for a Charter School. I have been a School Counselor for several years as well as assisted the Deans.

I see my strengths as a patient person, easy going, compassionate, empathetic, and determined individual. I understand the value of listening to others with an open heart and recognize that communication is key to building relationships.  In my new role as Dean, I will have the opportunity to help many students overcome challenging personal battles, serve as a mentor and lead by example.

When I am not at Galileo, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially the apple of my eye, my daughter, Gabriella. I also love traveling even if it’s just a short, spontaneous weekend getaway.
