Mrs. Consuelo Mitchell

Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Mrs. Mitchell was born in Central America and was raised in the Florida Keys. After graduating from Marathon High School, she attended the University of California, Los Angeles on a full basketball scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She entered the workforce and travelled all around the world working with a team of attorneys and legal professionals and eventually became the Director of Marketing at a large law firm.

Mrs. Mitchell moved back to Florida where she changed careers to pursue her passion for teaching and settled in Winter Park, FL. Prior to joining the Galileo team, she led the Social Studies department in one of the largest schools in Florida and taught Advanced Placement Human Geography, United States History Standard/Honors, and Cooperative Diversified Education/On the Job Training.

Outside of school, Mrs. Mitchell enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young boys. You can find the whole family rushing from one activity to another, fishing, snorkeling, boating, hunting, hiking, biking, running, or some other outdoor activity.
