Dr. Debbie L. Hahs-Vaughn

Dr. Debbie Hahs-Vaughn is one of the founding board members of the Galileo School. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Research from the University of Alabama and a MBA with an emphasis in marketing and BFA in graphic design from Missouri State University. Dr. Hahs-Vaughn currently teaches graduate level quantitative statistics and research methods at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Hahs-Vaughn’s research interests include: methodological issues associated with applying quantitative statistical methods to complex survey data (i.e., large-scale national datasets); using complex survey data to answer substantive research questions; postsecondary issues; practitioner use of research; quality in reporting research; and program evaluation.
Dr. Hahs-Vaughn is a certified group design reviewer for the What Works Clearinghouse and is the recipient of numerous awards including:

Dr. Hahs-Vaughn is the author of six statistics textbooks including, among others: Introduction to Statistical Concepts (2020) and Applied Multivariate Statistical Concepts (2016); a book chapter in Propensity Score Analysis: Fundamentals, Developments, and Extensions; and approximately 60 articles in professional outlets such as the Autism, Journal of Experimental Education, Evaluation Review, Journal of Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Research Quarterly, British Journal of Educational Technology, European Journal of Sport Science, Journal of Educational Research, Journal of College Student Development, and others. She has served as the Executive Editor of the Measurement, Statistics, and Research Design section of the Journal of Experimental Education.
Dr. Hahs-Vaughn has received funding from the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Labor (via 3rd party), and National Institute of Health.
