Dr. Alina Capote
Middle School Social Studies Teacher
Robyn Falcone is happy to be a part of the Galileo family as a Middle School Science teacher at the Skyway campus. Before Galileo, Robyn Falcone worked as a cancer researcher (molecular biologist) at Moffitt Cancer Center, where she graduated with a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. She continued working at Moffitt during her post-doctoral fellowship, but as her family grew, she shifted her focus towards her family and teaching. She has taught multiple subjects (mostly STEM) for grades 6-12 over the years, and eventually became an Associate Professor of Biology and Microbiology at Valencia College. During her years at Valencia and her love for lifelong learning, she attained Valencia College’s Digital Professor certification, the Active Learning certification, and the LifeMap certification in student career counseling. She strongly believes the adage that “learning is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire”, and her desire is to help students find their love to learn. Due to her passion for teaching younger ages, she left a full-time position at Valencia to pour her enthusiasm and joy for science and learning into the students at Galileo, where they know her as Mrs. Falcone. Outside of Galileo, Mrs. Falcone lives in Winter Springs with her husband Robert and their seven children (Rachel, Claire, Mia, Naomi, Daniel, Noah, and Drew), along with one dog and a few rescued kitties. She loves spending time with her family, cooking, reading voraciously, and spends many hours supporting and cheering on her student athletes as a “sports mom”. Her happy place is the beach, and visits both east and west coasts of FL and South Carolina as often as possible with her family.
