Mr. Timothy Hurd
Network Specialist
Mr. Hurd graduated from Georgia Southern University with Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology and from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership. He was thrilled to join the Galileo team in 2015 as the Network Specialist and Video Production teacher. After growing up and beginning his teaching and coaching career in Georgia, he moved to Florida to continue his love for working with students. During his years in Brevard and Seminole Counties, he has taught Industrial Arts/Construction, Graphic Arts and Video Production. He has also been a Media Specialist and an Educational Technology Facilitator. Mr. Hurd took a leave from the public schools to be the instructor at the Center for Space Education at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation located at The Kennedy Space Center. Upon returning to public schools, he moved into school administration, spending 20 years as a Dean and Assistant Principal. In his spare time he enjoys watching shows that keep score or vote somebody off. His favorite teams include the Georgia Southern Eagles in all sports and the Atlanta Braves!
